The Million Mile 2022: Nine Years of Support for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation
NORWALK, CT – Many of us are relieved that life has returned to normal after a tumultuous two years, but for many children and their families, a return to normal doesn’t mean quite the same thing. While COVID-19 dominated headlines, millions of kids were—and are—still struggling with pediatric cancer. And our societal battle with that terrible disease still rages, no matter what else is going on.
At LogicSource, we’ve been in the fight against pediatric cancer for what will be our ninth year in 2022, and as an organization, we have always felt compelled to a higher purpose than the bottom line. LogicSource has been a proud supporter of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer since 2013, and have found that a philanthropic mission like this imbues everything we do with an even stronger, more anchored sense of purpose.
On September 1st, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation begins their annual “1 Month, 1 Cause, 1 Million Miles” event to benefit kids with cancer. The largest childhood cancer awareness event in the country, The Million Mile 2022 event challenges teams to walk, run, bike, and swim as many miles as possible in the month of September, while raising critically needed funds for the fight against childhood cancer. The Million Mile Challenge is our company’s hallmark charitable engagement, and we’re excited about the road ahead as we work together to leave pediatric cancer in the dust.
A true group effort, LogicSource team members will join forces with friends, loved ones, partners at Inspiria, and the Warriors for a Cure team to cover as many miles as possible throughout the month of September. Some will run, some will walk. Others will cycle, and some may even swim. All will have stepped up and made a difference for those who need it most. Each mile is more money earned and another kid helped.
