Ready, Set, Go! Another Million Mile Month with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

NORWALK, CT – For most of us, health concerns in the past year and a half have been dominated by COVID-19. Whether it’s from the web, the endless news cycle, or just casual conversations with friends and family, it’s difficult to avoid tunnel vision. Yet, other health conditions that were typically top of mind—like pediatric cancer—didn’t wane as the novel coronavirus raged. And these causes have become no less deserving of our attention and activism. 

At LogicSource, we’ve always felt compelled to a higher purpose than the bottom line. While helping our client partners optimize sourcing and procurement is what we do best, we recognize that we’re in a position to make an even broader impact as an organization. We’ve been proud supporters of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer since 2013, and have found that a philanthropic mission like this imbues everything we do with an even stronger, more anchored sense of purpose. 

Today, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation begins their annual “1 Month, 1 Cause, 1 Million Miles” event to benefit kids with cancer. The largest childhood cancer awareness challenge in the country, The Million Mile Challenge 2021 will mark LogicSource’s 8th year of participation. Highlighted by record-setting fundraising north of $140,000 or totaling 25,000 team miles covered, this yearly opportunity to support pediatric cancer research always brings out the very best from our team members.

A true group effort, LogicSource team members will join forces with friends, loved ones, partners at Inspiria, and the Warriors for a Cure team to cover as many miles as possible throughout the month of September. Some will run, some will walk. Others will cycle, and some may even swim. All will have stepped up and made a difference for those who need it most. Each mile is more money earned and another kid helped. With that in mind, we look forward to a month of movement at LogicSource, and hopefully another benchmark year for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
