NORWALK, Conn. – October 21, 2014 – LogicSource, a leading sourcing and procurement services firm, today announced the appointment of Bruce Walton as Chief Operating Officer. Walton works out of the company’s Norwalk office, where he leads its Sourcing and Procurement Operations Center (SPOC) and uses his extensive background in procurement operations and client development to help run and grow LogicSource’s business.

“LogicSource’s unique model—combining strategy, execution and automation—is different than anything I’ve seen throughout my years in the sourcing and procurement space. The focus on delivery and results, supported by the deep experience of the people around the table here, made it an easy decision for me to join what I believe is a disruptive force in the industry,” said Walton.

SPOC is leading the revolution in sourcing and procurement Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and represents one of LogicSource’s key assets in delivering value to clients. SPOC houses centralized teams of experts focused on strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement technology, spend analytics, benchmarking, contract management, and more across a common, leveraged supplier base. With support of the SPOC, LogicSource’s on-site client teams offer “last mile” procurement services to companies needing to source, buy, track, or troubleshoot all types of purchases.

Also from SPOC is LogicSource’s industry-leading software, OneMarket®, the only cloud-based technology solution that empowers businesses and their suppliers to collaborate, streamlining the processes to create, approve, source, and procure complex spend categories. By consolidating workflow and ensuring total transparency, OneMarket® improves consistency, continuity, and compliance while reducing risk and cost.

Walton joined LogicSource from Accenture, where he was a Managing Director in the company’s supply chain strategy practice and led large, global organizations through significant changes in the procurement space. Prior to Accenture, Walton held leadership positions at Emptoris, Inc., including managing all aspects of services delivery. In the early 2000s, Bruce was an early-stage member of Procurian, a procurement BPO services provider recently acquired by Accenture.

“Bruce is a powerhouse in the industry, and I’m thrilled to have him by my side as we continue to grow and expand LogicSource,” said David Pennino, President and CEO of LogicSource. “Bruce understands LogicSource’s singular focus on adding value and reducing costs for businesses by optimizing their sourcing and procurement capabilities, and how better processes, better technology and better buying can boost clients’ bottom and top lines. He will be a crucial asset as we continue to grow our base of clients.”

Walton holds a Masters of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University.
